About the role
The American College of Preventive Medicine is seeking a full-time Senior Manager, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships.
The Senior Manager will lead efforts to expand the College’s corporate partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, grant funding, and external relationships in support of its mission to advance preventive medicine and improve the health of patients and populations. The role will develop and manage strategic relationships with corporations, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, foundations, federal agencies, and other. The Senior Manager will be responsible for cultivating partnerships through the Prevention Alliance, securing sponsorships and exhibitors for the College’s annual conference, identifying and pursuing grant opportunities, and promoting the College as a trusted resource for recruiting qualified physicians for leadership positions in healthcare, public health, and related organizations.
Ideal candidates will be relationship-oriented business development professional with strong writing, proposal development, project management, and communication skills, and the ability to translate the College’s mission and expertise into compelling partnership opportunities.
In addition, ideal candidates will have 5+ years of professional experience working in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate relations, fundraising, grant development, sponsorship sales, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, healthcare administration, public health, nonprofit management or related field is required. The position requires up to 10% travel.
